The price for an Oxbow ⅛ Beef is $5.75 per pound. The estimated final price is between $402.00 and $621.00, and the estimated final weight is between 70 lbs and 108 lbs. The final price of your whole cow is determined by the final weight, or hanging carcass weight (HCW). The HCW is the weight of the animal without the head, hide, hooves, lower legs and entrails. Once the cow is weighed, we will charge you the final price less your deposit. You will receive an emailed receipt for each charge, deposit and final. Regarding the timeline, once we receive your order the beef will be hauled to our processor on our next trip. We haul beef cows to the processor every other Thursday. The beef will then dry-age for 10-14 days before being processed. On average, it will take 4-8 weeks from the day you order before your beef is then delivered to our freezer. Once delivered, you will receive an email with a date to pick up your beef. Your beef will come in about 3 boxes and will need about 2 cubic feet in your freezer. The number and size of cuts will vary depending on the weight of the cow and when it is harvested. When splitting a beef into an 1/8th, some cuts will not be available as there is only 2-4 cuts per animal and not 8.
