The VP of Operations
Meet Natalie
Natalie Berkman has worked with Oxbow since January 2022. Before that, she worked at the Milton Ranch in Roundup, MT as a New Agrarian apprentice, learning the ins and outs of regenerative ranching and intensive grazing management. She has worked in agriculture her entire life, starting in high school at a tiny farm stand in DC, then on her college farm, and then managing small-scale, diversified vegetable farms in Colorado and Montana. She decided that growing turnips wasn’t for her anymore and switched to raising cows which better aligns with her plans for large-scale land stewardship. She’s passionate about growing healthy, nutrient-dense food that nourishes both community and land. Natalie loves being outside and finds her zen by hanging out with cows. Although she is partial to cows and border collies, she has a deep love of all animals, and thinks one of the best parts of ranching is spotting wildlife. Her favorite Montana critter is the Snowy Owl with the Coyote being a close second. Although she didn’t grow up ranching or riding, she loves moving cows with her bonny wee border collie, Nell, and is starting to feel comfortable and confident in the saddle.
